Barrett NYC Community and Environment

Barrett Paving – New York Central

Earlier in 2024, Barrett NYC invested in the environment and the community through the creation of two gardens.

Located at 1223 Albany Road, the Litchfield community garden is a 30′ x 60′ space that provides an opportunity for locals to experience gardening without the full-time commitment involved. All plants from this location were purchased at the Kid’s Market in Washington Mills, NY.

Our second garden is located at out Wetzel Road office and offers five raised garden beds that employees can tend to! These plants were started locally at Joe’s Plant Shak in Clay, NY.

While both gardens have had a slow start this year, the infrastructure is now in place to continue growing them and supporting locally-sourced food!
